The equipment is composed by a frame where a Perspex box  arena is located. Infrared beams frames are also located to detect X,Y and Z axes movement.

Control unit can handle up to 8 frames for 8 rat experiments or 16 mouse in Rat/Mouse version.

Available dimensions:

Small mouse: Arena size: 215mm x 215mm. Photocell distance 1,3 mm aprox.

Rat/mouse: Arena size: 420mm x 420mm (Rat). 2 arena size: 210mm x 210mm (mouse).  Photocell distance 2,5 mm aprox.

Rat: Arena size: 430mm x 430mm. Photocell distance 2,5 mm aprox. It is possible to include an additional small arena (270x270).

Control unit is connected to the PC via USB and a dedicated software can handle the experiment configuration, experiment recording and analysis.  Supported parameters for analysis are:

- General Activity
- Time of Activity
- Time of No-Activity
- Permanence Time in Selected Zones (5 zones can be defines by the software)
- Outputs and Inputs in each Selected Zones
- Distance
- Speed
- Rearingsvailable dimensions:

Small mouse -> Arena size: 215mm x 215mm. Photocell distance 1,3 mm aprox.
